Mildred: I can’t stand my husband anymore!
Carol: Really? But you’ve been together for just two years. Mildred: Yeah, but you know what makes me really mad? Carol: No, what? Mildred: He’s so selfish! For example, if something interesting is on TV, he’ll tune in to something else. Carol: Oh, no! Mildred: He loves to watch “Animal Planet”, but I don’t. He always makes me miss my favorite show on “People & Arts”! Carol: That happens sometimes. Mildred: Yeah, but every time I want to see “Fashion TV” for example, he doesn’t want to. It has to be “Travel & Adventure”! Carol: That’s not a big deal, is it? Mildred: We’re so different! Carol: ...But you must have something in common. Mildred: Well, I like sunsets, and so does he. Carol: You see. Mildred: He loves candles to be lit at night, and so do I. Carol: There you are! How romantic! Mildred: He loves to be hugged and to be kissed, and I do, too. Carol: Oh, how tender! My wife Sara is a really special woman.she's very young, she usually makes wise and proper decisions. Once we went camping to the woods and we didn't bring a tent with uswe were told there was a place for renting them. When we got there, there was nothing,we had to improvise. At first, I thought we couldn't stay outdoorswe would freeze during the night, she came up with a great idea. We would look for a partially closed place, like a cave or something similar, and we would cover it with leafy branches and thick wood sticks. The idea seemed easy to doit took us almost five hours to build the shelter.we felt tired and a bit cold, I'll always remember that night as one of the warmest and most tender of my life.

Many people find it hard to express their opinions and make up their minds. In that sense, I'm very different to my best friend. I believe she is a little shy and very indecisive, but I'm not. The best example is the moment when we both decided to break up with our boyfriends. Although we spend a lot of time talking about how unsatisfied we were in our relationships, it took us a while to finally make a decision. Obviously, she's quiet sensible and a little dependant on her sentimental partner, and so am I. |
